Why Study Piano at Christine Groth Piano Studio?
Passionate about music. Dedicated to your growth.
Welcome to Christine Groth Piano Studio!
Based in Delavan, Wisconsin, I provide personalized piano instruction for children, teens, adults, and returning pianists through online lessons and local performance opportunities. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students develop strong musical skills, artistic expression, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
As a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) in Piano and Saxophone and a Royal Conservatory Certified Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Piano Specialist, I tailor lessons to each student's goals, interests, and learning style.
Beginning students are introduced to music through the Piano Safari Method, a highly effective and engaging approach that develops strong technical, reading, and musical skills from the very start. As students progress, lessons are carefully tailored to their individual goals, interests, and learning styles.
Students may choose to pursue a variety of musical pathways, including preparation for Wisconsin Music Teachers Association (WMTA) auditions, Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) events, and the Royal Conservatory of Music Certificate Program examinations at all levels. Whether a student is seeking structured opportunities for achievement or simply wishes to play for personal enjoyment, lessons are designed to foster confidence, artistry, and a strong musical foundation.
To build performance skills and connect with other musicians, students participate in regular Zoom Studio Performance Classes and are invited to perform in in-person studio recitals throughout the year. Students who live outside Walworth County may also participate in recital events remotely via Zoom.
My goal is to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment where students develop technical excellence, artistic expression, and a lasting appreciation for music.
Whether you're 5 or 85, a total beginner or returning after years away — there's a place for you here.

What families are saying
“Our family has had such a wonderful experience with Mrs. Groth. She teaches both of my boys, ages 13 and 9, online, since 2023 and has an incredible ability to connect with each of them in a way that fits their individual personalities and learning styles. She is exceptionally patient, encouraging, and accommodating, while also knowing how to appropriately challenge them so they continue to grow and improve. She creates an environment where they feel supported, motivated, and confident in their abilities. She is genuinely invested in their success. She goes above and beyond to make sure they are not only learning piano, but truly thriving. Her dedication, consistency, and positive approach have made a lasting impact on both of my children. We are incredibly grateful to have met her.”
“I started taking piano lessons from Chris during the Pandemic. My parents had me take private piano and clarinet lessons when I was young. I wish my teachers had been as innovative, patient and talented as Chris. She is great with all age groups, from little ones to those of us who are older. I am in my 70’s and Chris has made relearning piano so easy. I love having Zoom lessons, being so much easier than having to go to someone’s house. Once you meet Chris, you will see how much she loves music and teaching. I am amazed with all her students when I attend the piano recitals. They play way beyond their years. I highly recommend Chris to anyone who wants to learn piano.”
“Mrs. Groth is an awesome teacher. I took lessons from her for 10 years and can tell you she is remarkable. Mrs. Groth can develop a 5 year old beginner into an advanced performer. Due to the pandemic, if Mrs. Groth wanted to get and keep new students she was forced to begin teaching using Zoom calls and that didn’t slow her down one bit. She only accepts new students when there’s an opening which means you receive plenty of attention. You’ll be very pleased with her. You won’t be sorry.”
“This is a wonderful, high quality, piano studio that is remarkably seamless with being remote via zoom. Would recommend for beginners and advanced age and players.”
